The Nippersink Library saw eight candidates willing to fill five open trustee positions.

Four positions were open for four-year terms and one position was available for a two-year term.

The unofficial count showed that Adrianne Adams received the most votes with 1,503. Theresa Sue Rekenthaler - 1,492; incumbent Robert Johnson - 1,308. incumbent Greg Cryns - 1,184; David Ramsland – 1,128; Luke DiSilvestro – 1,110.

For the two-year position incumbent Linda Geng had 1,137 votes; Yvonne Cryns – 965.

Library Director Kathryn Hausman said, “I feel that the choice of Cryns, Adams, Rekenthaler and Johnston is a good compromise election.  I'm glad that the guardians of open access to information have been elected.”
